Stay Strong for Ows

On Thursday 9th March, the Cardiff Arms Park played host to the annual dinner for a well-known and great cause, Stay Strong for Ows. As always, the event didn't fail to disappoint. The support from the sporting and corporate whorl for this charity is plentiful.

Genero were honoured to be asked to provide the audio visual for the event as well as subtle lighting to compliment the sumptuous marquee. The audience freely participated with sporting legends, Donnach O’Callahan, Martyn Williams and Jeremy Guscott, who kept the fundraising going in spectacular fashion.

Owen Williams, the Wales and Blues centre suffered a significant injury to his cervical vertebrae and spinal cord while playing for the Blues in the World Club 10s in Singapore.

The club has launched the #StayStrongForOws campaign with the Welsh Rugby Charitable Trust to raise funds to help and support Owen as he continues his recovery.

The event raised a considerable amount towards the charity and Pete Leckie, Managing Director at Genero commented by saying “This charity sits close to many people we work with and even with some of the employees at Genero. We not only support the event with the AV requirements, we host a table too; inviting clients and associates to join us in raising funds for everyone involved in Stay Strong For Ows. We will continue to support this charity in any way we can”.
